Samsung unveiled three new monitors that are all three specialized for different specific functions. These monitors are Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, Samsung Smart Monitor M8 and Samsung UHD Monitor S8. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 for gamers, Smart Monitor M8 for daily work, and UHD Monitor S8 for production work. These three displays will be on display during CES 2022 and will be on sale in the first half of this year. The specific prices have not yet been announced.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G8
Among them, Odyssey Neo G8 is also known as the world’s first 4K with a 240Hz refresh rate gaming monitor, a resolution of 3840×2160, a display size is 32 inches, and a curvature of 1000R. It is the same as the higher-positioned G9, and still uses Quantum Mini LED and Samsung’s image quality control technology Quantum Matrix. It can provide up to 2000nit brightness and support 4096-level brightness adjustment. In addition, it is also equipped with 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, supporting FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync.
Samsung Smart Monitor M8
As for the Smart Monitor M8, it is more like a miniature TV, or a monitor with a built-in system. It has a built-in SmartThings IoT Hub and Game Home, the former can be used for smart home management and control, and the latter can be used as cloud game streaming media. In addition, the display will also be equipped with a magnetic camera to support video conferencing programs such as Google Duo.
Samsung UHD Monitor S8
The UHD Monitor S8 for production work is simple and straightforward. It offers 27-inch and 32-inch options, both with 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, wired network connection, 90W USB-C interface, and UL-certified non-glare protection Eye design. The 32-inch version is additionally equipped with DisplayHDR 600 certification.
