Samsung has previously hinted that the Galaxy Note series will be discontinued. In an interview during MWC 2022, Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung Electronics Mobile Division said “The Galaxy Note will come out as Ultra,” which means the Galaxy Note series life cycle has ended and will appear in the form of the S series Ultra in the future. He also mentioned that the popularity of the Galaxy S22 series was very popular. During the pre-registration period, it set a record of 1.02 million units in South Korea, and it was out of stock for a time.

Samsung has two flagship series, the Galaxy S series, which is usually launched in the first half of the year and the Galaxy Note series, which is launched in the second half. The Galaxy Note series was first launched in 2011. With its high quality and large screen, it has formed a great potential with Apple’s iPhone.

The Galaxy Note series is marked by a large screen and a stylus S Pen. However, the Note series was not updated last year, and Samsung focused on two folding products, the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip. The S Pen was featured on last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra and was well received by Samsung fans, a change that has continued on this year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S series will be Samsung’s core flagship in the future, with the Galaxy S22 series officially launched in February and pre-orders breaking records in multiple markets.
