Oppo Foldable Phone: -It was rumoured for a long time that Oppo will launch an Oppo foldable phone. In 2019, Brian Shen (VP at the time) shared an image of an Oppo foldable phone that looked similar to the Huawei Mate X, that foldable phone is only for a showcase. After a gap of two years, Oppo is all set to launch the first foldable phone from the BBK group. The new foldable phone will be different from the prototype phone shown two years ago. The prototype phone had a single display that folds outwards, overall it had similar to Huawei’s first foldable phone which was the “Huawei Mate X”. The upcoming OPPO foldable phone will have dual displays, which will look similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Huawei Mate X2. The codename of OPPO Foldable phone is “Peacock” and it will be powered by Snapdragon 888.
Oppo Foldable Phone
The oppo foldable phone is codenamed “Peacock”, but what the product name will be is neither leaked nor revealed, it is expected that the name of the foldable phone could be “Oppo Find Fold” or “Oppo Fold X”. The phone will be featured two displays ( main display and auxiliary display). As per some of the reports, Oppo will use a BOE OLED display on its foldable phone and it’ll be having LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. The main display size will be 7.8″-8″ QHD+ OLED and is expected to sport an in-display fingerprint. The selfie camera will be 32MP and the rear camera is 50MP IMX7666. The battery capacity will be 4500mAh with the support of 65W fast charger. It’ll run over Color OS 12 and Android 11, and unveil mid of next month.
Oppo is one of the brands that are in the race to use the Snapdragon 898 SoC right after the launch. Now, the Snapdragon 898 SoC phone codenamed “Butterfly” has surfaced and could be the codename Oppo Find X5 series. The Oppo Butterfly will launch next year.
