In the next few days, Vivo will unveil its own developing ISP Vivo V1 with the Vivo X70 series, which help to improve portrait, night shot, anti-shake and video recording. Now another brand of “BBK Group” is ready to launch its own ISP but not this year but next year, that is Oppo. Last year there was news which suggested that Oppo is working on its chipset but in reality, it is an ISP. As per the report of “LatePost”, the ISP chip from OPPO’s chip unit ZEKU was released earlier this year and is likely to be used in the Find X5 to be launched in the first half of 2022.

ZEKU currently covers product lines, including core application processor, short-range communication, 5G modem, RF antenna, ISP and power management chip. In addition to ISP chips, ZEKU is also developing mobile phone SoC (System on Chip). At the beginning of 2020, Oppo announced the “Mariana Project” plan for self-developed chips, which is in the charge of chip TMG (Technical Committee) established in 2019 and provides a large amount of R&D funds.
