Nowadays, the craze of mobile gaming is increasing but it also has some limitations as mobile can never be completely gaming-centric. What if the gaming console is the pocket size? In the market, Nintendo Switch or Sony PSP pocket-size gaming console is present but it’s too much pricy products. The Nintendo Switch OLED edition is also coming very soon but unveil date has not been announced yet. Now, it seems like another well-established brand entre ready to enter the gaming console category. The “tech blog” claims to have disclosed evidence of a new portable gaming device developed by Lenovo. Lenovo is currently working on Lenovo Legion Play and it could be a competitor to all the pocket consoles available in the market including Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck.

Lenovo Legion Play

The images were uploaded to the Lenovo Germany and Lenovo Japan websites, it could be launched at the MWC 2022. Lenovo never introduced the Lenovo Legion Play but if you search the source code for the page, you’ll find links to four images, as well as the following text description:

Now, we can see that the pictures show what appears to be a handheld gaming console. A display surrounded by game controllers on the left and right sides. The gaming control schemes are following the Xbox controller style with the two analogue sticks, a D-Pad, X, Y, A and B buttons, Shoulder buttons, and at least a few other function buttons. Two analogue sticks are present as expected and the port uses USB-C, a headset jack, and a built-in microphone that you can use for voice chat. In the picture, clearly show that the Legion Legion Play interface is Android-based. There are icons for YouTube, Google Drive, and Chrome as well as NVIDIA’s GeForce Now game streaming service.

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel H20 Edition

Lenovo Legion Play is not lonely, there is another Legion Phone variant found hidden in the source code too. Another Lenovo Legion phone is called the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel H20 Edition. Here’s how Lenovo describes it:

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel H2O Edition is a water-cooled concept of the Legion Duel 2. Adding the active Twin Turbo-Fan was already a bold move, but bringing water cooling to a mobile phone is the perfect solution to dissipate heat and improve the device’s stability in high-performance mode. Featuring the latest processor, this phone is perfectly capable of staying cool and extracting the best performance available. To make it an epic gaming phone, we also maxed out the other specs; it comes with 18GB of ram and 1TB of storage. This product is still in the concept phase.
